Founded in 1979 by John Singleton and Alan Orritt, Champ Chicken was initially set up as a supplier of fresh British poultry to small retail outlets and local butchers.
The company has changed significantly over the years with continuous investment in all areas of the business and although John and Alan are still key figures in the business the day to day running is now in the hands of the next generation, Terry Orritt and Nicky Singleton.
Champ Chicken now employ over 60 people processing an average of 120,000 birds per week, and the completion of our extension in January 2007 has allowed us to process a further 80,000 birds per week. Looking Forward we have recently earmarked premises for further extension opportunities. Although we supply large retail market we still recognize that all business is valued business and even with the increase in size we are still a traditional family run business which prides itself in the supply of top quality products and unbeatable level of customer service.
